Cacao Player is an independent, unofficial client for TIDAL on Linux. It is not affiliated with, sponsored, endorsed or supported by TIDAL. TIDAL and other product, artist and company names belong to their respective owners. References identify the service and works described; they do not imply a partnership or endorsement.
This website introduces Cacao Player. It does not provide music, sell a TIDAL subscription, sign you in or grant rights to TIDAL content. Streaming in the application requires your own TIDAL account and the appropriate subscription and access. TIDAL controls its service, catalog, availability and account terms; these may change independently of Cacao.
Cacao is a Linux preview. Available packages, system requirements and release notes are listed on the download page. Screenshots illustrate the interface, rather than a promise of availability, audio quality or compatibility with every account, device or system. Windows and macOS builds are not available.
Screenshots show the Cacao Player interface. The Polygondwanaland cover by Jason Galea was released into the public domain by King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard; its source and rights record are included in the website notices. Other cover illustrations were created for this website. Album, track and artist names identify musical works; their inclusion does not imply that the artists, labels or TIDAL endorse Cacao. No music or music videos are distributed by this website.
The website includes separately licensed software, icons and fonts. Their copyright notices and licence texts are provided below. Those licences continue to govern the corresponding components. The native application has its own licence and dependency notices, included in the package. Matching Qt sources and rebuild instructions are linked beside the download.
Cacao Player is distributed under the MIT licence included in its package. Its application source repository is private. Music, trademarks and third-party components retain their respective rights and licences. Nothing on this website limits rights granted by third-party open-source licences, including rights to modify or replace LGPL components where applicable.
Information describes the current preview and may change. The website does not promise continuous availability or error-free information. No statement on this page excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limits mandatory consumer rights. Visiting the website does not constitute acceptance of an application licence.
