02

Sign in to TIDAL

Open Cacao and sign in with your TIDAL account. An active TIDAL subscription is required to listen.

03

Choose your speakers or headphones

Select the output you want to use in Cacao. Compatibility is a good starting point for listening alongside your other apps.

04

No sound?

Check the device connection, the output selected in Cacao and your system volume. If other apps are using the same device, choose Compatibility.

05

Playback stopped?

Check your internet connection, then try playing the track again. If only one track is unavailable, try another from your TIDAL collection.

06

Pick up where you left off

Cacao remembers your last track and position. Open the app and press Play when you are ready. Playback does not start automatically.

A few more answers

Do I need a TIDAL subscription?

Yes. Cacao uses your TIDAL account to stream music and does not include a subscription.

Can I listen in lossless quality?

Lossless and HiRes Lossless are available when the track and your TIDAL access support them. The available quality can vary between tracks.

Can I use lyrics, offline downloads or local files?

These features are not available in the current version. Cacao streams music from TIDAL; listening requires an internet connection.

Keep Cacao up to date

Download the latest .deb and install it in the same way as the first version. Check the download page for the latest release and system requirements.
